Scope of Training

The aim of this training programme is to provide participants with a systematic way of thinking about the measurement of benefits and costs.

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to conduct their own cost-benefit analysis on any issue of sufficient interest.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the key CBA steps and to help develop a sense of its applicability to real-world analyses.

  • Duration: 2 weeks 
  • Contact hours: 12 hours 
  • The course consists of 4 sessions of 3 hours each 
  • The sessions will be held twice a week in the afternoon 
  • Successful candidates will be awarded a Certificate of Competence

  • Identify limitations in modelling assumptions, data or political concerns that may compromise the validity of the study 
  • Communicate the results of the cost-benefit analysis to stakeholders facilitating political or administrative processes.
