Module Description
In this module, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to enhance the wellbeing of elderly persons with developmental or physical disabilities. You will learn how to act as a link between the elderly, the family and the interdisciplinary team.
The module covers different developmental and physical disabilities, whilst examining the role of the healthcare professional in patient advocacy through a holistic care approach.
Entry Requirements
- a pass in English Language and Mathematics;
OR
- an MQF Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (‘O’ Level or equivalent).
Target Audience
This course is targeted at:
- candidates seeking a career and a formal qualification in elderly care;
- candidates who wish to progress in their studies along the Further and Higher Education route, whilst broadening their chances of advancing in their own career path.
